Rocklin School District Study
As evidenced by a 2003–2005 study from Rocklin, California, seventh grade students who were introduced to the Excellence in Writing process in their 4th–6th grade years scored significantly higher than those tested previously.

Berwyn School District Study
In a 2014–15 study from Berwyn, Illinois, 4th and 5th grade students who were introduced to the Structure and Style methodology showed significantly more improvement in test scores after one year than a control group of students in a classroom that did not implement the Structure and Style program.
