Elizabeth Bennett
Several years after graduating from the University of Georgia, Elizabeth Bennett began a journey into parenting and homeschooling that has spanned more than three decades. While homeschooling her nine children, eight of whom are boys, Elizabeth was delighted to discover the straightforward simplicity and effectiveness of IEW methods and materials. Since 2011 she has shared her enthusiasm for IEW's composition and literature curricula with students in grades K-12 through co-op classes in the Athens, Georgia, area, private tutoring, and online paper evaluation. A strong believer in the positive way IEW's incremental approach shapes students' writing—including students with learning challenges—Elizabeth is pleased when her students perform well in national competitions and college classes. However, her greatest joy is when a parent says, "My child used to hate writing, but now it is his/her favorite subject."
