It is August. Many schools and homeschools have already begun the new school year. Within a few weeks schools of all types will be in session. Here at IEW, our mission is to equip teachers and teaching parents with methods and materials which will aid them in training their students to become confident and competent communicators and thinkers. Most are familiar with our video-based courses, theme-based books, and teacher training. However, IEW offers much more than that. Over the next several weeks, we will highlight ten free tools that IEW offers to help you along your journey.
The first tool is our monthly newsletters. This is the best way to stay informed about all things IEW. No matter where you use IEW materials, there is a newsletter for your needs. Inside our monthly newsletter for homeschool families are the schedule for our monthly webinars and events, links to the most recent blog posts, and additional information. IEW also publishes a monthly newsletter for classroom teachers and administrators, which contains relevant information to assist as you implement IEW methodology in your classroom.
If you find our blog posts useful but forget to check them regularly, you can sign up for our weekly blog post digest, which will provide you with the links to recent additions to our blog. You can also request a notification each time we launch a new podcast episode. Lastly, you can register to receive updates about IEW events in your region. No matter where or how you use IEW, there is a newsletter that will benefit you.
Some of you may be familiar with Magnum Opus Magazine, IEW’s literary magazine devoted to highlighting quality writing samples from IEW students around the world. In addition to the yearly print magazine, we offer a monthly digital newsletter. Each month is dedicated to one of the units of structure and features student work at multiple grade levels. The Monthly Mug is a newsletter that is specifically for those who have a Premium Membership.
